I just want to say…

…that I am so freaking grateful that Cody is here to drive. At home, I drive a little shoebox car. Dan’s car is a RAV4, and I’m not crazy about driving it, but here, with a Mercedes (“quite posh,” as the rental car dude said), I am not happy. It’s just too big. I can’t see squat on the passenger side and have no idea how close I can get without sideswiping. I’m used to the little European cars, which I *love* to drive, but one of those would not hold us and our luggage.

Yesterday on the way to Edinburgh from Clava Cairns, we were driving down typical UK backroads - i.e., one-lane roads that have little stay-by areas here and there. We came across a large RV and a truck with sheep, both for which Cody (a master back-up parking guy) had to back up.

Nope. Not me. We will trade this one I’m car in when Cody and Autumn head back to the States to get one that is much less posh.

Can you see how narrow this road is?????
