Tried to sleep late yesterday, but I was up at 5:30, just as if I were home.
When Vicki awakened, we went out for breakfast/brunch downtown. Driving the Mercedes SUV in Scotland isn’t so easy, as Vicki has quickly learned. But she has driven us around and through Inverness. Thanks, Sweetie.
This is a bar on the river Ness. The writing says “Friendship is like whisky, the older the better. Too much of anything is bad, but too much of good whisky is barely enough.”
You might surmise that there are a few places selling good scotch. There are apparently as many places making and selling gin. I’ll let you know what my research turns up.
I had hopes that we could visit Inverness Castle. Unfortunately, it is under repair. We could only look at it.
The town sits on the river Ness. Some interesting buildings and businesses along the banks. This is the Scottish Kiltmaker Visitor Centre. Given my legs, I don’t think I’ll be buying a kilt.
There is an interesting mix of modern and much older.
After a nap, we headed to the airport to pick up Cody and Autumn. They had a better experience flying with one exception: Autumn’s suitcase did not make the trip with her. We are hoping that it will eventually catch up to us.
We dined, grocery shopped, and then crashed.
